We are seeking experienced Senior Java Engineers to join a leading global consultancy’s specialist payments engineering team. This role involves working on large-scale transformation programs within the banking sector, focusing on complex payment processing platforms for major financial institutions. You will play a key role in modernizing critical systems through cloud technologies, advanced engineering practices, and innovative payments frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise-scale payment processing solutions.
• Build cloud-native applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
• Work within AWS environments to create resilient and scalable platforms.
• Support the implementation of modern payment solutions and integrations.
• Develop event-driven services using messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Engage closely with banking clients on critical transformation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven commercial experience in Java development.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
• Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging solutions.
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022 payments standards.
• Hands-on experience with the ICON IPF framework.
• Experience in major banking or financial services organizations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
