A fast-growing technology-focused organization is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their collaborative engineering team in Warrington, Cheshire. This permanent position is perfect for an individual who possesses a strong technical skill set along with a mature approach to ownership and responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a vital team member, capable of driving projects from inception to completion, influencing technical direction, and mentoring other engineers while continuing to enhance their own skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications utilizing Java, React, and TypeScript.
- Create scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS technologies.
- Take full ownership of features and components throughout the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Serve as a primary technical contact for design, architecture, and implementation discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address both technical and business challenges.
- Contribute innovative ideas, engage in code reviews, and promote continuous improvement within the team.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Significant commercial experience with Java and the Spring Framework.
- Strong skills in frontend development, particularly with React and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with AWS and experience in building cloud-native applications.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, version control using Git, and adherence to clean code principles.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude, complemented by excellent communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and provide guidance to team members as necessary.
Desirable Skills
- A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in regulated sectors such as financial services, insurance, or energy.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Interest in system design, architecture, or security.
