Senior Care Assistant Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents in our Leicestershire facility. This full-time position involves working 38.5 hours per week on a night shift schedule, following a 3 on/3 off pattern. Your primary focus will be on delivering personalized care that promotes the dignity, security, and independence of our residents.

Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing care strategies, leading a team of Care Assistants, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through various activities, as well as administering medication and keeping accurate records of care provided. Building strong relationships with residents and their families will be key to delivering tailored care plans.

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification. Experience in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care is highly desirable. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and effective time management are essential for this position.
