This position is for a full-time Senior Care Assistant based in West Lothian, specifically in Linlithgow, working 40 hours per week on night shifts. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, you will embody kindness in every aspect of your role, which is crucial in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. You will have the rewarding opportunity to provide personalized care that ensures residents feel secure, dignified, and independent.
Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing care that meets the individual needs of residents, leading a team of Care Assistants to uphold high care standards, and assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in delivering both physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities. You will also be responsible for administering medication and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
To be successful in this role, you should ideally have a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and be willing to pursue a Level 3 qualification. Experience in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care are beneficial. A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and effective time management are essential for building relationships with residents and colleagues.
