As a Regulatory and Litigation Counsel specializing in Competition Defense at Google, you will tackle some of the most intriguing legal challenges arising from technological advancements. You will be part of a dynamic team of in-house lawyers, working collaboratively on projects that require innovative legal solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading the strategy for responding to regulatory inquiries and litigation related to competition law. You will develop factual narratives for your cases, manage the production of information for external submissions, and partner with various business units to effectively navigate regulatory risks. Additionally, you will represent Google in meetings with regulators and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead strategies to respond to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and litigation related to competition law.
- Create factual narratives for cases, overseeing the production of necessary information for external submissions.
- Collaborate with business units to define strategies and manage risks associated with regulatory and private litigation.
- Represent the company in discussions with regulators and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Possess a JD, LL.B., or equivalent legal degree, and be admitted to the bar or authorized to practice law in the UK or an EU member state.
- Have at least 7 years of attorney-level experience, either in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- Demonstrate experience in engaging with regulators, particularly the European Commission and Member State Competition Authorities.
- Have a background in litigating competition issues in civil courts.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of â¬200,000 – â¬205,000 (EUR) plus a 25% bonus target.
