We are seeking an enthusiastic children’s nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care to children, young people, and their families in the emergency department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Paediatric ward, Paediatric Assessment Area, and Day Surgery Unit, ensuring a comprehensive service from admission to discharge.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering a family-centered and clinically effective service.
  • Exhibit caring and compassionate behavior while being organized and adaptable.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure high-quality care.
  • Engage in personal and professional development with support from the practice development team.
  • Participate in flexible working arrangements to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse (Child) or RSCN with the NMC, or a student nurse nearing qualification.
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Paediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) certification and Safeguarding Level 3.
  • Relevant recent experience in an acute healthcare environment, particularly in Acute Paediatric Nursing.
  • At least six months of experience in an Emergency Department.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to plan and prioritize patient care effectively.
  • Commitment to family-centered care.
  • Strong organizational and team-building skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
