The Radiotherapy Service Manager position is a senior role within the Directorate Management Team, tasked with leading the operational and professional aspects of the Radiotherapy Department. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of a safe, effective, and high-quality radiotherapy service that adheres to national standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing operational and professional leadership for the radiotherapy service.
- Ensuring compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements for patient care.
- Managing service performance, workforce, budget, and resources effectively.
- Developing and implementing policies, protocols, and service improvements.
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Radiotherapy studies or an equivalent qualification.
- A postgraduate qualification at ‘M’ level or progress towards it.
- Specialist knowledge in radiotherapy relevant to the NHS cancer agenda.
- Experience in financial management and business planning.
- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for decisions.
- Resilience under pressure and capability to handle stressful situations.
- A strong commitment to excellence in service delivery.

This position is based at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust, located at UHNM Newcastle Road, Newcastle under Lyme, ST4 6QG, United Kingdom.
