Product Manager – Enterprise Data Overview

Bloomberg’s Enterprise Data division is seeking a Product Manager to enhance product development for unstructured datasets. This role involves working with a diverse team of professionals to deliver machine-readable feeds and AI-driven analytics to a client base that includes hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and identify areas for improvement and new use cases.
• Contribute to the formulation of product development strategies for text and other unstructured datasets.
• Lead engineering teams and implement planned development projects.
• Assess new unstructured data sources for quality, coverage, and potential product applications.
• Develop and maintain client-facing technical documentation portfolios.
• Design protocols and tools to ensure thorough product quality assessments.
• Conduct quantitative research to assist with client testing and onboarding processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert during client interactions, sales presentations, and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, finance, or a related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial or technology organization.
• Practical experience with unstructured text data, including NLP, text analytics, or large document corpora.
• Proficiency in Python or SQL; familiarity with ETL pipeline operations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, machine learning, and quantitative trading principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• A sense of humor is considered a plus.
