Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain technology platforms and infrastructure that support software applications and services.
• Create and manage underlying systems and tools that facilitate efficient application development, deployment, and operation.
• Actively participate in the cloud platform engineering community, sharing insights and keeping up with industry trends.
• Contribute significantly to team objectives by designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based platforms and infrastructure.
• Demonstrate expertise in cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work independently on specific tasks, showcasing initiative and problem-solving skills in complex platform engineering challenges.
• Begin to take on leadership roles, which may include mentoring junior engineers and leading smaller project teams.
• Assist in gathering and reviewing requirements related to ESM platforms and processes, and support business initiatives by building scalable and efficient solutions.
• Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Oversee software performance across the full technology stack as part of Site Reliability Engineering.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of platform engineering principles and practices, particularly in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, automation, and scalability.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
• Emerging leadership skills, with a willingness to mentor and guide junior team members.
