As a Group Strategy and Operations Manager for Marketing in the EMEA region, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of Google’s marketing efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to act as the strategic thought partner to the Vice President of UKDEEP, providing data-driven recommendations and addressing complex operational challenges.

Your role will involve ensuring operational discipline within the EMEA Marketing business through effective management processes. You will lead initiatives aimed at transforming the organization to meet future demands while achieving short-term health goals in collaboration with central Strategy and Operations teams.

Additionally, you will be tasked with fostering AI transformation within the leadership team and broader workflows, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements. You will also be responsible for delivering business performance reports and recommendations to the EMEA Marketing Leadership Team, interfacing with top leaders across various departments including Finance, HR, and Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main strategic advisor to the Vice President of UKDEEP and the leadership team, offering data-driven insights and solutions to complex strategic and operational issues.
  • Ensure operational excellence within the EMEA Marketing division by implementing rigorous business management practices.
  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives to create a forward-thinking workplace and achieve immediate organizational health objectives, in collaboration with central Strategy and Operations teams.
  • Promote and enhance AI integration within the leadership team and across various workflows.
  • Prepare business performance reports and provide actionable recommendations to the EMEA Marketing Leadership Team and management group, engaging with senior leaders across Marketing, Finance, HR, and Communications.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in leadership roles focused on operational strategy, including change management, performance measurement, and business restructuring.
  • An MBA or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • Experience in utilizing AI productivity tools to address complex problems and optimize business workflows.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with a background in quantitative analysis and the ability to communicate findings effectively to leadership.
  • Experience in marketing, with a preference for a blend of B2C and B2B experience, particularly within the technology sector.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, demonstrating a proactive approach to delivering results.
