A well-established FMCG organization located in Suffolk is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team. This position offers a diverse and hands-on role that combines workshop work with occasional on-site responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Engage in workshop-based tasks while also conducting occasional on-site duties.
- Utilize mechanical fitting skills to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
- Work collaboratively within the maintenance team to support the overall functionality of the organization.
Requirements
- Possess a strong background in vehicle mechanics, with a City & Guilds 3905 or equivalent qualification being desirable.
- Hold a mechanical engineering qualification, such as BTEC Level 3 or a similar credential.
- Demonstrate plumbing skills and electrical knowledge, particularly with 230/415v systems and vehicle electrics.
- Have prior experience in maintaining various types of machinery and equipment.

Working Hours
The role requires a commitment of 48 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, starting at 6am. Additionally, there will be an on-call rota on alternate weeks and weekends.
