Join G-Research as a Machine Learning Research Intern for a 10-week summer program where you will delve into the world of quantitative finance. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on significant research projects that apply innovative mathematical and computational analysis, all while being supported by a mentor and having access to vast computing resources.
The internship runs from June 21 to August 27, 2027, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:30, based in Central London. Throughout this period, you will engage in a meaningful project that challenges you to push the boundaries of machine learning applications in finance. You will also have the chance to present your research findings to senior management, providing a valuable experience in a professional setting.
Who Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate should have:
- A post-graduate degree in Machine Learning or a related discipline, or relevant commercial experience in developing machine learning algorithms.
- PhD level study is preferred.
- Experience in one or more areas such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, non-convex optimization, Bayesian non-parametrics, NLP, or approximate inference.
- Strong reasoning skills and mathematical ability to develop custom models.
- Proficiency in programming with Python and familiarity with libraries like scikit-learn, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter.
- An interest in finance, with a willingness to learn more about the field.
