This position is hybrid, allowing for flexibility with a requirement to be based in London or within a 1.5-hour commute. The role involves empowering Data Science and ML stakeholders by providing the necessary tools and infrastructure for seamless execution of machine learning and AI processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tools and infrastructure support to Data Science and ML stakeholders for efficient execution of machine learning and AI processes.
• Contribute to the evolution of the technology stack by developing solutions within the existing AWS cloud environment.
• Create and maintain a scalable infrastructure that accommodates pre-computed, batch, and real-time model requirements, ensuring efficient deployment and reduced time-to-market for machine learning models.
• Oversee all software engineering aspects, including design, implementation, quality assurance, and maintenance.
• Monitor ML pipelines for accuracy, drift, enhancements, changes, service level agreements, and billing volumes to ensure models are processed correctly and timely.
• Encourage a culture of innovation by generating and promoting new ideas within the MLOps field.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document requirements for developing high-quality ML/AI products.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in MLOps, with a focus on building modern ML infrastructure that supports all stages of the model lifecycle.
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, showcasing the ability to utilize cloud services for scalable and reliable MLOps solutions.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation in a production setting.
• Familiarity with additional technologies like Seldon, KServe, RayServe, Kubernetes, MLFlow, Sagemaker, Kubeflow, Anyscale, Valohai, ArgoCD, Docker, Python, Java, Ray, Spark, Pandas, Argo Workflow, Postgres, Snowflake, and BigQuery is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of managing complementary databases, including vector and/or graph databases, is a plus.
• Experience in model optimization, particularly in high throughput and low latency applications while being cost-conscious.
• Experience with LLMOps and leveraging open-source models is beneficial.
• Ability to work across a diverse technology stack and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in participating in cross-functional teams within fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and pride in work.
• Experience as a lead engineer or subject matter expert on multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
