As a member of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety, security, and resilience throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include anticipating, deterring, detecting, and responding to security incidents and crises.
In this position, you will help identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks that may impact business operations, providing essential information to business leaders for critical decision-making. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies and programs that enhance operational effectiveness.
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) serves as the 24/7 hub for managing physical security incidents and threats. As the Security Service Center (SSC) Program Manager, you will lead the development and enhancement of the SSC ecosystem, which consists of a global network of over twenty hubs operated by vendor partners dedicated to managing the detection, triage, and response to physical security threats affecting Googleâs personnel and assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate complex, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to enhance the detection, assessment, and mitigation of risks while ensuring alignment with broader security efforts.
- Lead the GSOC Security Service Center (SSC) Program.
- Maintain and manage the network of distributed Security Service Centers to support GSRS operations.
- Document, analyze, and regularly review SSC operations to improve operational delivery.
- Collaborate with security operations teams to strategize and design security service centers, delegating daily activities to local campus or cluster security managers.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in implementing security resilience programs that impact teams across multiple regions.
- Experience in multidisciplinary program management within an organization.
- Significant experience in vendor management and performance management.
- Ability to analyze business objectives and strategies, identifying impactful opportunities or gaps in systems and workflows.
- Proven capability to identify, build, improve, or optimize relevant business processes.
- Experience leading projects, including managing priorities, objectives, dependencies, planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring.
- High ethical standards with a demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
