As a Graduate Maintenance Engineer at BAE Systems, you will be part of a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation, ensuring the safety and operational integrity of military aircraft. This role is based in Warton/Samlesbury, Lancashire, and involves collaboration with various aircraft maintenance organizations and supply chain disciplines.
Core Responsibilities
- Compile and present the status of aircraft.
- Monitor the performance of aircraft operations.
- Develop and communicate management plans for the maintenance of aircraft and components.
- Conduct performance studies on aircraft and components as needed.
- Evaluate current operational methods and identify areas for improvement, especially regarding new and developing technologies.
- Participate actively in team discussions, contributing both technical insights and behavioral perspectives.
Team Overview
The Air Team at BAE Systems has a rich history in the design, manufacture, upgrade, and support of advanced combat and training aircraft, including the Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest. You will gain exposure to various Continuing Airworthiness Management disciplines, such as Fleet Management and Maintenance Planning.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have achieved, or be predicted to achieve, at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. Additionally, all applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard and may require higher levels of National Security Vetting based on residency in the UK.
