Undergraduate Aerospace Integration Engineer Overview

Join BAE Systems as an Undergraduate Aerospace Integration Engineer and embark on a 12-month placement starting in June 2027 at our Prestwick location in Ayrshire. This role offers a competitive salary of £25,900 and involves a hybrid working model, requiring attendance on-site 4-5 days a week.

As an Integration Engineer, you will adopt a comprehensive, full lifecycle approach to ensure that component systems are effectively integrated to deliver products with all necessary capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing your engineering expertise to solve problems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Managing projects holistically while deepening your technical understanding of the products.
• Collaborating with your team and other departments to develop advanced engineering solutions, supporting decision-making for capability optimization, interoperability, and risk reduction.
• Working on early lifecycle projects for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), supporting the Eurofighter Typhoon with new systems, or innovating within FalconWorks.
• Applying systems engineering techniques to define and develop a complete product architecture.

To qualify for this role, you must be on track to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in Aerospace Engineering, any other Engineering subject, or any STEM discipline.

Note that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to security and export control restrictions, which may affect eligibility based on nationality and residency. All applicants must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, and some roles may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, necessitating 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK.
