As a Graduate Energetic Materials Scientist at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting various activities within the Land UK business. This position involves contributing to the development of new technologies for energetic materials and assisting in product and process development across different production environments.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the Engineering and Technology Teams to develop innovative energetic materials and processes, providing support to subject matter experts, conducting practical assessments of materials in laboratory settings, and preparing essential safety documentation such as risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
The Land Team is dedicated to equipping the British Armed Forces and international clients with a diverse range of munitions products, including small arms ammunition, heavy artillery, tank ammunition, warheads, and payloads, with notable projects like the Challenger 3 Battle Tank.

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in Chemistry, Physics, or Chemical Engineering. The start date for this position is set for September 6, 2027, and it is a permanent contract.
