Team Overview

You will be part of the Equities team, responsible for making investment decisions related to stocks. This department manages all retail and institutional funds at Fidelity International, ensuring that equity portfolios align with the investment objectives outlined in the fund’s documentation. The research team collaborates closely with fund managers to analyze companies, stocks, and sectors.

Internship Responsibilities

• Research and analyze individual stocks, presenting your findings to a panel of senior investors.
• Evaluate the products, services, strategies, competitive advantages, and financial data of selected companies.
• Assess the competitive positions and management competencies of companies to determine investment viability.
• Develop financial models to identify share price drivers and forecast earnings accurately.
• Compile concise research reports recommending companies for client portfolios.

Support and Development

Your journey will begin with a welcome orientation, where you will meet fellow interns and learn about Fidelity’s operations. Throughout the program, you will receive daily learning opportunities from experts and engage in real projects. You will have a dedicated buddy and access to the wider team, including Portfolio Managers, for guidance. A company-wide induction and specific technical training will be provided in your first two weeks, along with ongoing learning sessions and virtual drop-in opportunities with the Early Careers team.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who are in their penultimate year of study, graduating in 2028, and available for a full-time, 10-week internship. We welcome applications from all degree disciplines and academic backgrounds. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to analyze diverse information to make informed judgments.
• Strong analytical skills to conduct complex research and interpret data effectively.
• Articulate communication skills to confidently present investment recommendations.
