Graduate Project Management & Control Overview

As a Graduate in Project Management & Control at BAE Systems, you will embark on a journey to learn and apply essential project management principles throughout the project lifecycle. This role is based in Samlesbury/Warton, Lancashire, and offers a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, along with a £2,000 welcome bonus.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the development and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines, managing risks and opportunities, and overseeing change control processes. You will also assist in collecting and analyzing cost and performance data, contributing to project reporting, and engaging with stakeholders through regular project reviews and meetings.

Core Duties

• Monitor and track project expenditures against established profiles, addressing deviations with project teams.
• Support the Baseline Change Control process to ensure project alignment.
• Assist in developing project plans that outline key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Support the Project Manager in delivering project outcomes effectively.
• Develop detailed and summary schedules for project monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate project activities to maintain updated risk assessments and support risk reviews, presenting risk statuses during monthly reviews.

To qualify for this role, you must have obtained or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in relevant fields such as STEM, Business, Finance, Legal, Project Management, or IT.
