Consultant Psychiatrist, General Adult Psychiatry – Nelson Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry to join the Pendle Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) at Pendle House, Nelson. This full-time position (10 Programmed Activities) involves managing a caseload of complex and unstable cases while providing support to other team members in a multidisciplinary setting. The role also includes participation in the Consultant On Call rota, with additional remuneration for this responsibility.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage a compact caseload of the most complex and unstable cases.
• Support and advise other team members as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in the Consultant On Call rota.

Qualifications and Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
• On the GMC Specialist Register or eligible for entry within six months of the interview date.
• Section 12 Approved at the time of employment commencement or eligible within three months.
• Approved Clinician Status or eligible within three months.
• Relevant knowledge, skills, and experience for the role.
