This position for a Commodities Analyst involves a range of responsibilities aimed at supporting trading desks through the development of commodity supply-and-demand models. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and enhancing analytical tools, as well as monitoring the quality of market and fundamental data.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating supply-and-demand models for commodities utilized by trading desks.
- Develop and refine analytical tools and processes for desk operations.
- Monitor and improve the quality of market and fundamental data.
- Manage and operate essential data processes that support desk activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the commodities sector.
- Possession of an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- Proven experience in data research, analysis, and modeling.
- Proficiency in Python programming is essential.
- Ability to think quickly and handle various projects or tasks as needed.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for this position.
