The Buy-Side Implementation Manager role at Bloomberg is essential for ensuring successful client engagements through the Bloomberg Buy-Side order management system, known as AIM. This system supports over 15,000 professionals across nearly 90 countries, providing comprehensive solutions for portfolio management, order management, execution, compliance, and post-trade operations.

As an Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for onboarding clients, managing project plans, and providing support across various investment operations. Your role will involve collaborating with Sales, Account Management, and Product Development teams to ensure a smooth implementation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onboard clients onto Bloomberg Buy-Side Solutions effectively.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring governance throughout the project lifecycle by coordinating with Bloomberg departments, clients, and third-party vendors.
• Support implementation activities in collaboration with Sales, Account Management, and Product Development teams.
• Organize and navigate complex client requirements to define project milestones and timelines confidently.
• Manage client expectations to enhance the onboarding experience.
• Establish and maintain strong communication channels across multiple concurrent implementation projects with varying complexities.
• Understand and design the client’s Bloomberg target operating model.
• Collaborate with Sales to scope projects, gather requirements, and design solutions prior to sale completion.
• Influence and implement best practices for investment management workflows.
• Develop strategies to increase the usage of solutions by the time of go-live.
• Provide expertise throughout the investment lifecycle and acquire deep knowledge of AIM’s offerings across various operational solutions.
• Act as a product advocate to enhance usage during and post-implementation.

Requirements:

• Strong project scoping and project management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of buy-side industry trends and best practices for workflows and technology stacks.
• Familiarity with workflows related to portfolio management, order management, trading, compliance, and operations for institutional investment managers.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and departments with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly articulate with a consultative approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
