An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse with a passion for women’s health to join the Gynaecology Outpatients Department at Northwick Park Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to women experiencing a variety of gynaecological conditions while assisting with diagnostic procedures, treatments, and clinics.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women with various gynaecological conditions.
• Support diagnostic procedures, treatments, and clinics.
• Maintain a safe clinical environment, ensuring patient safety, infection control, and the promotion of dignity, privacy, and equality throughout the patient journey.
• Manage the daily operations of the Gynaecology Outpatients Department, including stock management and pharmacy ordering.
• Assist in routine gynaecological procedures such as Outpatient Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, and Smear Clinic.
• Contribute to departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and understand the importance of audits.
• Collaborate with consultants, specialist nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to deliver effective and compassionate care.

Requirements

• Must be a registered nurse with current NMC registration for Adult nursing.
• At least 6 months of experience working within the NHS is essential.
• A desire to work in women’s health is required.
• An accredited course in gynaecology is desirable.
• A preceptorship qualification is also desirable.
