Audit Placement – Liverpool – September 2027 Overview

Join RSM for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in audit with a 12-month paid placement starting on 14 September 2027. As part of your sandwich degree, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside both current trainees and seasoned audit professionals.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls. You will quickly become a key member of the audit team, engaging in real client work and gradually taking on individual project responsibilities. Your work will span a variety of clients, including owner-managed businesses, large listed groups, charities, pension schemes, and other not-for-profit organizations.

What We’re Looking For

We value passion, personality, and originality at RSM. To be considered for this placement, you should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 112 UCAS points from three A levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications, or 104 UCAS points from four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Currently enrolled in a placement degree program.
• Possess a permanent right to live and work in the UK.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and maintaining composure under pressure.
• A genuine interest in business and commerce, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Please note that RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels, or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
