An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AI Kernel Engineer to join a well-funded AI systems company that is dedicated to enhancing performance optimization across next-generation AI hardware. The organization collaborates with leading semiconductor companies, server manufacturers, and cloud providers to maximize the efficiency and performance of modern AI systems. This position offers the chance to work on advanced accelerator architectures and tackle complex performance challenges before hardware reaches production.

As an AI Kernel Engineer, your primary focus will be on optimizing AI workloads throughout the hardware and software stack. You will be responsible for developing low-level kernels and enhancing the performance of contemporary machine learning systems. Working closely with a highly skilled team, you will analyze AI models, profile workloads, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations that yield measurable improvements in throughput, latency, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize compute-intensive AI workloads across GPUs, AI accelerators, and emerging hardware.
• Develop and fine-tune low-level kernels for machine learning applications.
• Profile, benchmark, and analyze system performance using industry-standard tools.
• Identify performance bottlenecks across both hardware and software layers.
• Collaborate with customers and engineering teams to implement performance improvements.
• Contribute to AI benchmarking and performance evaluation initiatives.
• Explore innovative approaches to accelerator programming and AI-assisted optimization.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in optimizing workloads on GPUs, AI accelerators, FPGAs, or other high-performance hardware.
• Strong understanding of performance analysis, profiling, and benchmarking techniques.
• Familiarity with profiling, debugging, and performance analysis tools.
• Background in inference optimization or performance-critical AI systems.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python programming languages.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, research-focused environment.
