    RMAN-08613: channel string: failover to piece handle=string tag=string

    Reason for the Error

    This is an informational message to indicate the server found a corrupted block in a backup piece and had to switch to another copy of the piece to get the same block.

    Solution

    See alert log for information on corruption block(s) and the name of the backup piece that has the corrupted block(s).
