ORA-26921: Cannot alter the start SCN or time of string Capture “string”.

Reason for the Error

An attempt was made to alter the start SCN or time for a capture while other outbound servers were still attached to it.

Solution

Execute the following: 1) Get the names of other outbound servers currently attached to the specified Capture using the query: SELECT server_name FROM dba_xstream_outbound WHERE (status = ‘ATTACHED’) AND (server_name ‘‘) AND (capture_name = ‘‘); 2) Detach the client application from each server_name returned. 3) Retry the operation.
