ORA-26883: Timeout due to string Apply process “string” while merge original Capture process “string” and cloned Capture process “string”.

Reason for the Error

When merging two GoldenGate, XStream or Streams Capture processes, the merge needs to wait untill the Apply process of the cloned Capture process goes ahead of the slowest subscriber of the original Capture process. This wait timed out.

Solution

Make sure the GoldenGate, XStream or Streams Apply process still works properly.
