    Reason for the Error

    An attempt to issue the ALTER DATABASE SET STANDBY TO MAXIMIZE {PROTECTION | AVAILABILITY | PERFORMANCE} failed.

    Solution

    Check the Data Guard broker log and the Oracle log for more information.
