ORA-14254: cannot specify ALLOCATE STORAGE for a (Composite) Range or List partitioned table

Reason for the Error

User specified ALLOCATE STORAGE clause in ALTER TABLE statement issued against a Range or Composite Range partitioned table which is illegal.

Solution

Remove the illegal option. If it is desired to add storage to individual partitions/subpartitions, ALLOCATE STORAGE clause may be specified with ALTER TABLE MODIFY PARTITION/SUBPARTITION statement. If it is desired to add storage to all subpartitions of a Composite partition, ALLOCATE STORAGE clause may be specified with ALTER TABLE MODIFY PARTITION.
