Oracle Error ORA-00942 : table or view does not exist

Oracle Error Message

ORA-00942 : table or view does not exist

Reason for the Error

This error occurs when a table or view is entered that doesn’t exist.

Access to the table requires a specific set of rights.

If a program displays this warning, it signifies it either doesn’t have access to or the database doesn’t contain the table it was trying to access.

Solution

Verify the table or view name’s spelling. Where a table is needed, a view is supplied.

If a new table needs to be created or if access to an existing table requires user or application credentials, get in touch with the database administrator.
