We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Alder 24 Hour in West Derby, Liverpool. This role involves both consultations and hospital shifts, providing a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled nursing team and a dedicated night team for overnight care. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology including onsite CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house labs, all located near the vibrant city of Liverpool.

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Medivet, you will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week over four days, allowing for a healthy work/life balance while also providing opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide clear updates and exceptional care to clients regarding their pets.
  • Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored treatment and care plans for each patient, including clear cost estimates.
  • Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilizing them effectively.
  • Complete clinical handovers and arrange for the transfer of patients needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Proactively support and share clinical best practices within the Medivet community.

Requirements:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on clinic performance.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to maximize their potential.
