We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team in London. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our AI platform programs by managing external build partners, including system integrators and vendors. The ideal candidate will be a strong delivery leader who can maintain accountability and ensure that projects stay on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of external build partners, ensuring expectations are set and delivery is managed effectively.
- Take ownership of delivery planning for the AI platform program, including milestones, dependencies, and risk management.
- Act as a liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders, translating technical details into actionable insights.
- Manage Statements of Work (SOWs), change requests, and commercial discussions with partners to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Facilitate governance processes such as steering committees and delivery reviews to maintain decision-making momentum.
- Identify potential issues early, escalate them appropriately, and propose solutions to drive resolution.
- Coordinate efforts across various operational companies and group functions to ensure alignment and prevent roadblocks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in technical project management, particularly with complex platform or software programs.
- Proven ability to manage external system integrators (SIs) and vendor partners effectively.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to critically assess architecture diagrams and vendor estimates.
- Strong commercial acumen, including familiarity with SOWs, change control, and vendor performance management.
- Experience in matrixed environments, adept at navigating competing priorities and diverse reporting structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing concise and useful status updates.
- A proactive approach to ownership of outcomes, maintaining composure under pressure, and applying sound judgment in decision-making.
