As a Research Scientist in the Provenance team at DeepMind, you will leverage your machine learning expertise to work on strategic initiatives that focus on the robustness and trustworthiness of AI models. Our team is dedicated to advancing research that ensures the responsible use of AI technologies for the benefit of society.
Responsibilities
- Engage with ongoing research initiatives within the Strategic Initiatives Program to address significant challenges using your extensive machine learning expertise.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers and machine learning engineers to identify and create innovative machine learning solutions for important strategic issues.
- Clearly and efficiently report and present research findings and developments, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Propose and participate in team collaborations aimed at achieving research objectives for the broader scientific program.
Requirements
- A PhD in Machine Learning or equivalent experience in research or industry.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and pipelining tools.
- Strong programming skills.
- Published research in a machine learning conference focusing on robustness, image or video generation, or classification.
- Quantitative experience in mathematics and statistics.
- Preferred: Experience applying machine learning techniques to ensure robust and trustworthy model deployments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with generative AI audio or video models.
- Preferred: Knowledge of adversarial robustness, data influence, or watermarking.
- A passion for artificial intelligence and a proven track record of delivering impactful research.
