As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to outline requirements, assess risks, manage project timelines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners throughout the organization.

You will be responsible for driving projects for the EMEA Network Acquisitions (GNA) Planning team, focusing on data-driven analysis to formulate overall Network Topology plans. This includes compiling technical requirements for network assets such as fiber and leased wavelengths to meet forecast demand while adhering to Network Architecture guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading EMEA network planning activities to align with product area demand forecasts.
• Managing complex, repeatable planning processes to ensure transparency and efficiency.
• Analyzing and rationalizing demand forecasts for EMEA-related flows.
• Translating these forecasts into regional capacity plans, considering market trends and technological advancements.
• Conducting technical risk assessments through various what-if analyses to ensure optimal planning across the network.
• Working closely with internal business owners, technical teams, and strategic negotiators to define requirements and streamline business processes for the effective delivery of EMEA network infrastructure.

To qualify for this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of program management experience.
• Expertise in network infrastructure and architecture.
• The ability to navigate ambiguity and identify optimization opportunities.
• Experience in program management within networking, including vendor management and infrastructure asset delivery.
• Knowledge of fiber optic systems and the submarine cable ecosystem, particularly in the context of EMEA and global carrier networks.
• A strong business and technical understanding to drive the organization’s long-term goals.
• A data-driven approach to problem-solving, with strong analytical and financial skills.

This position is remote eligible, and the salary range is €118,000 – €121,000 (EUR), with a 15% bonus target and equity options. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
