As a Technical Program Manager specializing in Infrastructure Expansion at Google, you will leverage your technical knowledge to lead intricate, multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to define requirements, assess risks, manage timelines, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

You will work closely with teams responsible for physical assets, including data centers and networks, to identify and recommend optimal infrastructure solutions that align with technical criteria, market conditions, and business objectives. Additionally, you will partner with internal teams such as cloud engineering, network, security, finance, and legal, as well as external planners and utility providers, to execute comprehensive infrastructure strategies.

Your responsibilities will also include analyzing global cloud market trends, such as the growth of hyperscale services and the adoption of hybrid and multi-cloud solutions, to inform strategic infrastructure decisions. You will be tasked with translating complex technical requirements into actionable specifications for infrastructure planning, ensuring that the needs for power density, cooling, network connectivity, latency, security, and compliance are met effectively. Furthermore, you may need to develop new products to address future infrastructure needs related to Cloud and AI expansion.

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with at least 5 years of experience managing technical projects in a dynamic industry. Experience with data center or network infrastructure planning and negotiations is essential, particularly for new region launches. Preferred qualifications include additional experience in data centers or cloud computing, strong communication skills, familiarity with financial modeling, and a deep understanding of hyperscale cloud architecture.

Google offers a competitive salary range of €118,000 – €121,000 (EUR), a 15% bonus target, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role is available in London, UK, or Dublin, Ireland, and operates on a hybrid working model.
