As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead intricate, multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, assess risks, manage project timelines, and effectively communicate with cross-functional partners throughout the organization.

The Platforms and Devices team is responsible for developing Google’s various computing software platforms across different environments, including desktop, mobile, and applications. This team also works on first-party devices and services that integrate Google’s AI, software, and hardware to enhance user experiences globally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of capital equipment, including the procurement and installation of research-grade tools.
  • Manage long-term service agreements and technical specifications for biomechanical suites and metabolic analysis systems.
  • Ensure the ongoing operation and calibration of high-precision measurement devices used for tracking kinetic and kinematic variables.
  • Implement strategies for space optimization to facilitate high-throughput longitudinal studies.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Research, Intelligence, and Feature teams for various studies, data collection, and analysis.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Engineering, Human Movement Science, Sport Science, Kinesiology, or Sports Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical program management, particularly in managing Research and Development (R&D) labs or technical facilities.
  • Experience in navigating institutional ethics boards (IRB) and understanding research compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing laboratories focused on human physiology, biomechanics, or human performance.
