We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and innovative Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our established and supportive Speech & Language Therapy Team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This is a full-time, permanent position where the successful candidate will collaborate with other therapists to assess and treat children and young people facing various speech, language, and communication challenges.

Main Duties

  • Provide assessment, advice, and therapy to children with speech, language, or communication needs.
  • Work as part of an integrated team alongside specialist therapists.
  • Engage with children, their families, and supporting agencies to ensure effective therapy delivery.
  • Embrace a whole service approach, maintaining strong links with colleagues across all areas of pediatric Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Exhibit flexibility and innovation while sharing the team’s commitment to quality patient-led care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and benefit from high-quality clinical supervision.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy is essential.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is required.
  • Experience in pediatric Speech and Language Therapy services is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of assessment tools are necessary.
  • Effective planning, time management, and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not mandatory.
