We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a well-established technology company located in Cambridgeshire. This organization has been a leader in remote access and connectivity solutions for over twenty years, with their software trusted by millions worldwide across various sectors including technology, healthcare, and media.
The Software Test Engineer will be an integral part of the collaborative QA team, responsible for overseeing the entire testing lifecycle from feature inception to release. The role involves working closely with developers, writing and maintaining automated tests in Python, and enhancing the existing testing framework to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the complete software testing lifecycle, from the initial feature conception to the final release.
- Collaborate closely with developers to write and maintain automated tests using Python.
- Enhance the existing test framework to improve testing processes across the organization.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable software utilized by users globally.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in automated software testing with a strong focus on Python.
- Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Proficient in source control and bug reporting practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote work environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, performance or security testing, Selenium/web technologies, Jenkins/Groovy, and Atlassian tools.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
