Join us for a 12-week summer internship in Software Engineering at G-Research, where you will engage with our world-class technology teams in London. This role is designed for exceptional students eager to tackle complex challenges in quantitative finance, contributing to the development and modernization of systems that support our business.
As an intern, you will work hands-on across various platforms, writing production-level code and collaborating with experienced engineers on impactful projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering high-quality, maintainable code to work with large and complex datasets.
- Supporting and evolving production platforms and research tools.
- Partnering with quantitative researchers to understand and improve data quality and value.
- Developing and optimizing database queries and the underlying infrastructure.
- Enhancing internal tools and data processing pipelines used at scale.
You will receive structured onboarding and mentorship from an experienced engineer, along with access to internal technical and professional development courses to enhance your financial domain knowledge.
We are looking for candidates who are studying towards a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or a related discipline, graduating in 2028, and currently in their penultimate year. Ideal candidates will have experience in at least one object-oriented programming language, a strong understanding of core computer science concepts, and a keen interest in how engineering supports quantitative research.
