Fractile is at the forefront of innovation, developing silicon, systems, and software that aim to transform the landscape of AI by enabling the execution of the worldâs most advanced models at unprecedented speeds and reduced costs. As a Senior System Architect, you will play a crucial role in defining and driving the comprehensive hardware architecture that supports our products, ranging from chip-level interfaces to board design, thermal management, and system integration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and owning the system architecture roadmap, balancing performance, power, and scalability.
- Contributing to system-level design from concept through production, coordinating with chip design, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Specifying system interfaces, power delivery networks, interconnects, and control subsystems.
- Guiding board and platform design for early bring-up and validation.
- Partnering with software and firmware leads to ensure seamless integration and coherent system-level performance.
- Evaluating emerging technologies and components to inform architectural decisions.
- Acting as a technical mentor, raising the bar for design discipline and documentation across the team.
- Representing system architecture in technical reviews, partner discussions, and customer engagements.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Systems Architect, SoC Architect, or in a similar capacity within the semiconductor or high-performance computing domains.
- A deep understanding of system-level design, including power, thermal, I/O, memory, and interconnect architectures.
- A strong grasp of digital design flows.
- Experience in taking complex hardware systems from concept to mass production.
- Demonstrated ability to define and manage system requirements and trade-offs.
- Comfort in working across various disciplines, including hardware, firmware, and software.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical depth with practical execution.
Desirable qualifications include:
- A background in AI acceleration, HPC, or data-centric architectures.
- Experience with FPGA prototyping and system bring-up.
- Familiarity with modern toolchains and modeling environments such as SystemC and MATLAB.
- Prior experience in start-up or scale-up environments, thriving in ambiguity and rapid iteration.
At Fractile, we emphasize ownership and execution, allowing you full agency to drive your work forward. Our culture promotes rapid iteration, with direct collaboration with leadership to transition ideas into hardware on ambitious timelines. We engage fully across hardware, software, silicon, and modeling teams to create products with generational impact. We are optimistic and pragmatic, committed to achieving our goals through hard work, and we foster a team player mentality where the mission is greater than any individual contribution.
Founded in 2022, Fractile has rapidly expanded to a team of over 80 members, with modern, open offices located in London and Bristol. We cultivate a collaborative culture centered on problem-solving, deep curiosity, entrepreneurial initiative, and technical fluency.
