As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting our ambitious growth objectives in the UK and Ireland. Your contributions will be vital to our financial success as you analyze market trends, assess project feasibility, and ensure the cost-effective execution of our design initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand current and future trends within the construction industry, including labor costs, material prices, regulations, and demand for specific commercial building types.
- Analyze potential projects for economic feasibility, assess risks and opportunities, and develop detailed cost models for construction, labor, materials, and other relevant expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering techniques, exploring alternative materials, construction methods, or project designs to maximize efficiency while maintaining high design standards.
- Analyze and assess potential risks associated with construction projects, including economic fluctuations, regulatory changes, labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast project costs, revenue, and profitability, providing clear reports for management decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, designers, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution and informed decision-making.
- Communicate complex economic insights and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Continuously research and stay informed on industry developments, economic trends, and emerging technologies impacting the construction sector.
Experience Required:
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Preconstruction Manager, Construction Estimator, Project Manager, or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to develop and interpret commercial plans.
- Excellent understanding of construction cost structures, project feasibility analysis, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and statistical software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
