As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work within the Infrastructure team, responsible for foundational compute and cloud components that product engineering teams rely on. Your role will involve managing Kubernetes clusters, cloud infrastructure, networking, and developing Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks that allow teams to self-serve their environments and capacity safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex infrastructure initiatives from inception to completion, making key technical decisions independently.
• Break down initiatives into actionable tasks, identify dependencies, and document technical decisions.
• Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable systems in AWS, collaborating with other teams as necessary.
• Plan and implement technical improvements to the compute and cloud platform, using data to prioritize work.
• Build and maintain self-service tooling and automation frameworks for other engineering teams.
• Support other teams through code and design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Respond to on-call incidents, leading root cause analyses and managing resolutions.
• Drive quality objectives for the Infrastructure platform, focusing on reliability and developer productivity.
• Mentor fellow engineers and participate in recruitment activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex technical initiatives and making architectural decisions.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
• Strong experience with AWS, including networking and cost management.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform.
• Solid programming skills in Go, Python, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of supporting technologies and CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of SRE principles and incident response.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to hiring processes.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
