Join Expedia Group as a Senior Data Platform Engineer specializing in Data Lake and Catalog in London. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the data platform that supports our global travel services. You will play a crucial role in building and evolving our Lakehouse and data discoverability capabilities, ensuring that product and analytics teams can efficiently access and trust the data they require.
Your responsibilities will include designing and developing maintainable, scalable, and observable software for our data lake platform. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a senior software engineer with a strong passion for technology and problem-solving. You should possess a solid understanding of the JVM, server-side Kotlin/Java, and the Hadoop ecosystem, along with extensive experience in cloud platforms, particularly AWS. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for success in this role.
