The Rotating Internship Programme at Linnaeus offers an exciting opportunity for veterinary professionals to gain comprehensive experience in a structured and supportive environment. This internship is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their skills while working alongside renowned specialists in various veterinary disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured Rotating Internship program across various veterinary disciplines including internal medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, oncology, emergency and critical care, neurology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and dentistry.
• Gain hands-on clinical experience by working closely with multi-disciplinary specialist teams from the outset.
• Engage in a tailored teaching program that includes small-group seminars, clinical teaching sessions, and workshops focused on professional skills and wellbeing.
• Conduct clinical research with support, aiming to present findings at international conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Complete emergency care training, including RECOVER online certification in basic and advanced life support.
• Receive dedicated mentoring and support through regular check-ins with mentors and internship directors.

Requirements

• Candidates must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a small animal practice is required.
• Completion of the RCVS Veterinary Graduate Development Programme (VetGDP) is necessary, or candidates must be exempt from it.
• Applicants who have not completed the RCVS VetGDP or are not close to completion or exempt will not be considered.
