You will be part of the HS2 Main Works team, working on a significant infrastructure project that includes 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with various structures that will benefit communities for generations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and issue accurate, timely notices and correspondence to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare or assess applications, valuations, and conduct cost/value reconciliations.
  • Control costs and forecast financial performance.
  • Contribute to monthly reports detailing value, costs, profit/loss, cash flow, and budget.
  • Prepare and agree on applications for payment and assess payment certificates.
  • Assist in Risk and Value Management to optimize solutions, regularly reviewing with the project team.
  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Oversee contract management, including relevant contractual forms and budgetary control methods.
  • Prepare supply chain inquiries, negotiate, administer, and finalize supply chain contracts.

Qualifications

  • Proven financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience in technical minute-taking during contractual meetings and ability to prepare reports.
  • Ability to draft contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Manager and prepare payment certificates and interim financial reports.
  • Experience in contributing to procurement and contract strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and teamwork skills, with the capability to motivate and lead others.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of legal, contractual, and construction principles.
  • Possess an RICS/CICES accredited Degree (or equivalent) or be enrolled in an accredited part-time postgraduate Degree.
