This internship offers a unique opportunity to experience working at Jane Street while gaining valuable insights into the procurement process. As a Procurement Specialist Intern, you will be paired with full-time employees who will mentor you throughout your internship. You will engage in various tasks that are essential to the firm’s operations, including procuring goods and services on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with full-time employees on real-world projects related to procurement.
• Assist in the development and execution of requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Negotiate with vendors and manage inventory effectively.
• Raise purchase orders and handle global logistics.
• Analyze spend data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Work on projects aimed at enhancing internal process efficiency.
• Participate in lunch seminars and discussions to understand the broader business context.

Qualifications

• A strong interest in supply chain management, particularly in areas like global sourcing, inventory management, logistics, and transportation.
• Preferably pursuing a degree in supply chain management, business administration/management, operations, or a related field.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a collaborative mindset.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated and capable of tackling ambiguous problems.
• Fluency in English.
