The Role

As a Principal Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Devising innovative solutions to complex client challenges.
  • Delivering business outcomes through technology with a focus on results.
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders and enhancing client loyalty.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues in technical and consultancy skills.
  • Collaborating with Delivery Directors to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Shaping the go-to-market strategy for the Financial Services and Insurance sector.
  • Leading technical aspects of bids and pitches, including client discussions and proposal writing.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in insurance and financial services.
  • Enhancing Softwire’s reputation through writing and speaking engagements.
  • Networking and representing Softwire at industry events.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical roles, with at least 4 years in an agency or consultancy context.
  • Expertise in data engineering, cloud architecture, digital platform architecture, or AI engineering.
  • Experience in financial services, particularly in insurance markets.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value client outcomes.
  • Strong consulting and advisory skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Experience in pre-sales activities and a desire to engage in go-to-market work.

Package

Softwire offers a transparent pay structure with a base salary ranging from £110,400 to £124,200, along with an average profit share of £19,000 to £25,250. Additional benefits include a pension contribution, generous annual leave, and flexible working options.
