We are looking for a Network Engineer II to join our team in London, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement new network solutions across the global enterprise environment, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and security infrastructure.
- Develop scalable network designs utilizing advanced routing protocols and ECMP for optimal traffic distribution and redundancy.
- Architect and deploy enterprise-grade load balancing solutions to optimize application delivery and availability.
- Design and enforce firewall security policies and segmentation strategies across Juniper SRX platforms.
- Design and deploy enterprise WiFi solutions, including RF planning and site surveys.
- Own network engineering projects from requirements gathering to implementation and handoff to operations.
- Establish and track project milestones and deliverables under a rigorous change management process.
- Install and configure networking equipment and security systems for new office build-outs globally.
- Lead vendor evaluations and manage vendor relationships for technology procurement.
- Travel to global sites as needed to support infrastructure builds and major project deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and within-scope project delivery.
- Implement and optimize network monitoring using Elasticsearch for SNMP-based telemetry.
- Leverage SIEM platforms for Syslog aggregation and security alerting.
- Conduct compliance audits to ensure network configurations align with security frameworks.
- Lead post-mortems and root cause analyses for significant network incidents.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Global IT Service Desk on complex network issues.
- Support routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades as part of the operational responsibilities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, VLANs, VPN, load balancing, and firewall best practices.
- In-depth expertise with Juniper SRX firewalls and Juniper EX switching infrastructure.
- Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise WiFi solutions.
- Proven project management experience overseeing initiatives from initiation to completion.
- Strong vendor management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-starter with multitasking capabilities and prioritization skills.
- Passionate about automation and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and willingness to travel to global sites as needed.
