The Platform Engineer role involves designing, building, and maintaining the technology platforms and infrastructure that support software applications and services. This position is crucial for creating and managing the underlying systems and tools that enable developers to efficiently build, deploy, and operate their applications.

As a Platform Engineer, you will engage in various responsibilities that may include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based platforms and infrastructure.
• Actively participating in the professional cloud platform engineering community, contributing insights, and keeping up with the latest trends and best practices.
• Making significant contributions to team objectives, particularly in the context of cloud platform engineering.
• Demonstrating technical proficiency in areas such as cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Working independently on specific tasks while showcasing initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Beginning to take on leadership roles, which may involve mentoring junior engineers or leading smaller project teams.
• Assisting in gathering and reviewing requirements and mapping them to integration platform features.
• Building reliable, efficient, scalable, and business-oriented solutions that integrate a complex portfolio of tools and solutions.
• Implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Overseeing software performance across the full technology stack.

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a solid understanding of platform engineering principles, particularly within cloud environments, and demonstrate proficiency in relevant technical areas. Experience with cloud service providers and containerization technologies is essential, along with the ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
